Greetings from Portsmouth CrimeLine!
Portsmouth CrimeLine is a non-profit, 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization paying cash rewards of up to $1000 to anonymous tipsters whose information assists local law enforcement agencies in identifying and capturing those responsible for crimes within our community. Portsmouth CrimeLine prides itself on assisting Portsmouth Police with fighting crime by helping citizens overcome two key factors keeping them from wanting to get involved: fear of being identified as a snitch and lack of concern for what is occurring in their community.
To overcome these factors, Portsmouth CrimeLine provides three easy ways to submit an anonymous crime tip:
1. Call us at 1-888-LOCK-U-UPsm (1-888-562-5887)
2. Use our free Mobile APP (P3 Tips) from any smart device or
3. Submit a tip via the web HERE
By offering several ways to submit anonymous tips, Portsmouth CrimeLine has made it easier for citizens to volunteer vital information about criminal activity to assist local law enforcement agencies in their endeavor to make our communities a safer place to work, live, and play.
Please remember, Portsmouth CrimeLine is not part of Portsmouth Police Department, but a community partner working closely with police to filter anonymous tips to investigators. A Portsmouth Police Officer serves as a liaison ONLY to our all civilian board of directors consisting of individuals who work, live, or do business in the City of Portsmouth.
